W. Bryan Hubbard

Published on January 1, 0001

W. Bryan Hubbard serves as Chief Executive Officer of Americans for Ibogaine, where he leads the organization’s mission to advance science-based education, clinical research, and responsible medical access to ibogaine therapy. Under his leadership, AFI has emerged as a leading voice in the national conversation around ibogaine research, building coalitions across the medical, policy, and veteran communities.

A policy leader with a background in law, public service, and systems reform, Hubbard has spent much of his career working to improve complex government programs addressing disability, substance dependency, generational poverty, healthcare, child support, and mental health treatment. His work has focused on strengthening public institutions and expanding opportunities for individuals and families facing structural challenges.

Hubbard was raised in the coalfields of Virginia and is the proud grandson of two grade school–educated United Mine Workers of America coal miners, whose perseverance and values continue to shape his commitment to public service.
